The Traditional Herbal & Botanical Medicine Apprenticeship
An experiential foundation course
A practical 2 year apprenticeship course which focuses on growing and using plants for health as a traditional form of medicine in the community circle and as domestic medicine for friends and family.
Course tutor: Nikki Darrell, – medical herbalist, botanist, aromatherapist. Nikki is a practitioner and educationalist, writer, campaigner and grower who has been working with plants for over 30 years.
Location: The course will be held at Magourney, a restored church in the village of Coachford, Co. Cork which is home to Nikki and her family. It also houses an extensive herbal and complementary medicine library, and is surrounded by a garden that contains over 200 medicinal species.
Course structure: There are 6 weekend workshops each year.
